Dear Democrats: You Need To Replace Biden
Back in January I started writing a piece that was going to tell the Democrats how they could win in the 2024 election. I was going to tell them to end the identity politics grift, ditch Biden, drop Ukraine, dump the Green New Deal, close the border, and roll with an energetic young candidate that would adopt populist positions. At the time, such a candidate, effectively adopting a lot of Trump policies, would have grabbed hold of moderates and a lot of people who hate Trump but like his policies.
I stopped writing it because I didn't want to be helpful. Now that Biden has self-destructed and the Democrats won't be able to cheat enough to make it believable and the tech bros and Wall Street are on the Trump Train, they need to just move on.
Keeping with Biden would be a bigger drag down ballot than Bush in 1992 or Dole in 1996.
I hate to be helpful but better just to accept the loss and start the rebuild.
So let Biden have a health issue and announce that he is finishing out his term and withdrawing from the race. Give Biden the loot he wants. Keep him at his beach house.
It is time for a transformation of the Democratic Party. Better to plan for 2028 and just give up winning 2024. Trump isn't running in 2028.
The 2028 Democratic candidate doesn't need to be a national figure. Go look around for a young handsome masculine tall man. Current age should be 34 to 45. JD Vance and Ron DeSantis are short, so a tall candidate would be imposing.
I would suggest a man over a woman just because women will swoon over a handsome guy and will find fault with a female candidate. No shrill school teacher types, please.
Race could be any. Maybe a Hispanic would be best, but a Korean or Persian might work just as well. Get him to the Senate for 2026 and fix the primary for 2028. Maybe give him a speaking spot for the 2024 convention.
Former military, preferably with some medals, would be nice.
And with a gorgeous wife and a could of photogenic kids.
We all know Democrats, just like the Republicans, try to fix their primaries, so getting him the nomination shouldn't be difficult, especially after 4 years of media hype.
Make sure he is reasonably smart, not a AOC or Biden. A nice hardship or two would be nice.
