Ukraine is An Existential Threat to the American Empire
President Z recently came to Washington and picked up yet another huge check and was celebrated by Congress. About half the Republicans in the House did not even attend the speech, and some of those that did attend refused to clap and celebrate Ukraine.
We have heard numerous statements of how America stands with Ukraine and how important defending Ukraine is to the United States, but it just isn’t so. It really does not matter to the American people if Ukraine is split up or even entirely conquered. It is just another distant land that really does not matter to America, like so many others where American troops have died.
Many if not most of those who have been hardcore Ukraine supporters in America, with Ukrainian flags on their social media posts, could not have located Ukraine on a world map a year ago. They did not know much if anything about the history of Ukraine.
A lot of American politicians and bureaucrats would have struggled the same way, unless they were some of the ones looking to cash in on Ukraine like Joe did in 2014, or the ones looking to use Ukraine as a tool against Russia.
Ukraine just is not important, except to Russia, politicians looking to get rich, and to the American empire as a threat against Russia.
Ukraine is an Existential Issue for the American Empire.
And the Neocons are out in force, attempting to shame and con people into supporting the war. Bill Kristol tweeted, “The anti-Ukraine Right is an anti-American Right” yesterday. So pathetic and stupid. If any person deserved to be ostracized and ignored to the point where he hid himself in shame out in a cave in the desert, it would be Bill Kristol. Yet here he is again, shilling for his masters.
Instead of spending $100 billion on Ukraine, think of all the things we could have spent the money on in America — infrastructure, schools, healthcare, border security, food for the poor, or just not spend it, and stop increasing our national debt.
Imagine if tomorrow, the US and its client states stop supporting Ukraine. What would happen? Ukraine would immediately sue for peace and President Z would just run off to one of his villas and lounge around on his loot. South and east Ukraine would become Russia, if not more. The center of the county would be demilitarized and accept forced neutrality. Poland would annex western Ukraine. Hungary might annex a slice of Ukraine. Romania might grab another slice.
And the world would go on. Except that the great American hegemony would be further on its decline. Turkey might enter into closer relations with Russia and its partners in the BRICS, causing the EU to pay the price for refusing to admit Turkey. NATO might collapse. The EU might fall. Germany might even beg for Russia to forgive it and enter into closer relations.
So that is why it is an existential matter for the American empire. The globalists picked this conflict as a tool to bring Russia under their control. This effort accelerated in 2013. The Maidan Coup was part of the plan. This plan was disrupted by Trump’s election.
I remember telling people in 2016 that if Hillary won, we would be going to war with Russia soon after. It came out later that Sen. Graham and Sen. McCain traveled to Ukraine for Christmas 2016 and told Ukrainian Nazis that they would soon be fighting Russia. Trump did not go along with that plan, which is likely the chief reason the globalists fought so hard against him.
A 2017 or 2018 war in Ukraine would likely have been over quickly. All the sanctions that were imposed this year would have been imposed back then and would have likely broken Russia, which was not prepared for such. Also, China was still on board with the Rules Based International Order in 2016. It would not have supported Russia like it is doing today. Likewise, a lot of other countries that are on team Russia today would have likely been on team NATO.
The idiots did not understand just how much Trump changed the world. Of course, it was not just Trump. The worldwide resistance to the globalist took off before Trump even announced, even if he is the biggest symbol of it.
In any event, the global US empire can accept a loss in Vietnam and Iraq and Afghanistan and other places, but Ukraine is different. The defeat of Ukraine will shake the hegemony and accelerate its demise.
The demise will come not because the globalists are defeated, but because they regroup and move onto a new effort. They will pursue their same goals in new ways. They might try a few more tricks, like another pandemic or some other effort, but many of their tricks only work once and never seem to work as well as they plan.
