There is a lot of fear mongering right now regarding Russia starting a nuclear war. Much has been made of Dmitry Medvedev’s statement that any attempt to push Russia back to its 1991 borders would trigger nuclear war. Instead of crying about this, let's look at what that means. Russia annexed Crimea in 2014. Pushing Russia back to its 2014 borders would mean taking Crimea from Russia. Crimea has been Russian for centuries and it has been the goal of Western nations to take Crimea from Russia for a very long time (Crimean War, anyone?).
